EPDM orings / Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer has excellent resistance to heat, water and steam, alkali, mild acidic and oxygenated solvents, ozone, and sunlight (UV). EPDM compounds are not recommended for gasoline, petroleum oil and grease, and hydrocarbon environments. EPDM o-rings becoming even more popular in the scuba dive industry, in recent years as being more UV (sunlight ) resistant than NBR.
